Craps

Roll the dice and get the fun started – the classic Craps comes with a variety of straightforward bets to keep things fresh.

    Craps – Game Information

    How to Play

With origins that can be traced as far back to the 10th century, Craps is a super simple table game that remains hugely popular even today.

To play, all you need to do is roll 2 dice and bet on what you think their combined value – from 2 to 12 – will be.

    The Pass Line bet

This is one of the most popular bets in craps, and you can place one before the first roll of the game (known as the “Come-out Roll”). The game is then “off.”

Hit the Pass Line and choose how much you’d like to wager with, then hit Roll to get the dice rolling.

You’ll receive an even money bet payout (1:1) if you roll a 7 or an 11. You’ll lose your bet if you roll craps, which is a 2, 3, or 12.

Any other number you roll – 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 – becomes what’s known as the “point,” and landing one will set the game to “on.”

An On token placed in the number box indicates the point.

To win, you must now roll the point before you roll a 7. If you do this, you receive an even money payout.

If you roll a 7 before rolling the point, your bet loses.

If you roll a number that is neither a 7 nor the point, your bet is still in play, and you will re-roll the dice.

You’ll continue rolling the dice until your wager is settled, at which point the game goes back to being off, and the point gets reset. Following this, you’ll start a new game with another come-out roll.

    The Don't Pass Line bet

As you might have guessed, the opposite of a Pass Line bet is the Don’t Pass Line bet. You can play with this bet by selecting Don’t Pass Bar when the game is off.

Receive an even money payout by rolling a 2 or a 3 with this bet. Rolling a 7 or an 11 means you lose your bet, and a 12 ends in a push.

The point is established – and the game is on – if you roll a number besides any of those previously mentioned.

Roll a 7 before you roll the point with this bet. Doing this will land you an even money payout. If you roll the point before you roll a 7, you lose.

If you roll a number that is neither the point nor a 7, the bet remains in play, and you’ll re-roll the dice until you land one of those numbers.

Play carries on until you settle your wager, at which point the games returns to being off and the point resets, and you’ll need to place another come-out roll to start a new game.

    The Come bet

Like the Pass Line bet, but available to play when the game is on.

Place a Come bet by placing your area labelled “Come.”

You win the bet if you roll a 7 or an 11. You’ll receive an even money payout if you do this.

Rolling craps – 2, 3, or 12 – means you lose your Come bet.

If you roll any other number, it becomes the “come point.” When this happens, the Come bet will move from the Come area to the corresponding come point.

If you roll the come point before you roll a 7, you receive an even money payout. Doing the opposite – rolling a 7 before the come point – results in you losing your bet.

    The Don't Come bet

This one is like the Don’t Pass Line bet – the difference is this bet is available when the game is on.

Hit the Don’t Come Bar to place this bet.

Win by rolling a 2 or a 3, and you’ll receive an even money payout.

You lose this bet if you roll a 7 or an 11, and the bet will push if you roll a 12.

Should you roll any other number, it becomes the “don’t come point.” When this happens, the Don’t Come bet moves from the Don’t Come Bar to the corresponding don’t come point.

Win an even money payout by rolling a 7 before rolling the don’t come point.

Roll the don’t come point before rolling a 7 and you lose your bet.

    Odds bets

Similar to the Pass, Don’t Pass, Come, and Don’t Come bets that you can make once the point for that bet has been decided.

An Odds bet wins or loses depending on their respective bet, but if they win, they’re paid out at true odds.

Unlike the Pass, Don’t Pass, Come, and Don’t Come bets, you’re able to remove Odds bets once a roll takes place.

Maximize your bet by hitting the Max Odds button.

    Pass Line Odds bets

Hit outside the Pass Line, where it says “Odds,” to place this bet.

For a winning Pass Line Odds bet, you receive a true odds payout.

This will be 2:1 when the point is 4 or 10, 3:2 when the point is 5 or 9, and 6:5 when the point is 6 or 8.

    Don't Pass Line Odds bets

Hit the tramlines below Don’t Pass Bar to place this bet.

Don’t Pass Line Odds bets pay out as follows: 1:2 when the point is 4 or 10, 2:3 when the point is 5 or 9, and 5:6 when the point is 6 or 8.

Come and Don't Come Odds bets

You can place these bets alongside Come and Don’t Come bets, but only when they’ve moved to the point’s box.

Come Odds bets share the same payouts as Pass Line Odds bets, which are: 2:1 when the come point is 4 or 10, 3:2 when it’s 5 or 9, and 6:5 when it’s 6 or 8.

And Don’t Come Odds bets have the same payouts as Don’t Pass Line Odds bets, which are: 1:2 when the don’t come point is 4 or 10, 2:3 when it’s 5 or 9, and 5:6 when it’s 6 or 8.

    Field bets

Place a Field bet to win by landing 1 of these numbers with your next roll: 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12.

To place a Field bet, put your chips on the Field.

    If you roll a 2, you receive a 2:1 payout, and if you roll a 12, you’ll receive a 3:1 payout.

You receive an even money payout for rolling a 3, 4, 9, 10, or 11.

Roll a 5, 6, 7, or 8, and you lose your Field bet.

    Big 6 & Big 8 bets

Place one of these bets by putting your chips in the Big 6 or Big 8 boxes.

If you roll the number you chose before rolling a 7, you receive an even money payout.

You lose your bet if you roll a 7.

Your bet will remain in play if you roll neither your chosen number nor a 7.

You can remove this bet at any time.

    Place to Win bets

    With numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10, you can make a Place to Win bet.

Add your chips to the Place to Win section to place this bet.

You can make these bets whenever, but if the game is off, it will mean your Place to Win bets are, by default, “not working.”

Roll your chosen number before rolling a 7 to win.

If you roll a 7 before your chosen number, you lose.

The bet is still in play if you do not roll your chosen number or a 7.

You can remove this bet at any time. The same applies to Place to Lose, Buy, and Lay bets.

    Place to Lose bets

Like Place to Win bets, but with these you win by rolling a 7 before any of the other listed numbers.

Select the Place to Lose section in the number box to place your chips there.

    Buy bets

Similar to a Place to Win bet – make a Buy bet by hitting a number’s Buy section.

You win if you roll the number you chose before a 7. If a 7 appears before that, you lose.

Buy bets are not working by default when the game is off.

5% of the Buy bet is paid as commission if you win with one.

Any successful Buy bet is paid out at true odds: 6:5 on 6 and 8, 3:2 on 5 and 9, and 2:1 on 4 and 10.

    Lay bets

The complete opposite of a Buy bet – make a Lay bet by hitting a number’s Lay section.

Roll a 7 before your chosen number to win. You lose if your number appears before a 7.

Like a Buy bet, 5% of a successful Lay bet is paid as commission.

Winning Lay bets are paid out at true odds: 5:6 on 6 and 8, 2:3 on 5 and 9, and 1:2 on 4 and 10.

    Any 7 bets

Place an Any 7 bet by selecting its section.

If you roll a 7, these pay out at 5:1.

You lose your bet if you roll any other number.

    Any Craps bets

Place this kind of bet by selecting the Any Craps section.

    You’ll receive an 8:1 payout by rolling craps (2, 3, or 12).

If you roll any other number, you lose your bet.

    Horn bet

Hit the Horn Bet button at the bottom of the table to place this bet.

The allocated chip amount is then placed across the 4 bet options.

Roll a 2, 3, 11, or 12 to win this bet. If you roll any other number, you lose your bet.

You can add your chips to the individual bet areas – it’s not a requirement to place chips on all 4 options.

    You receive a payout at 34:1 for rolling a 2 or a 12, and a 17:1 payout for rolling a 3 or an 11.

    Hard Way bets

Rolling the “hard way” is when you roll doubles.

So, to roll an 8 the hard way, each die must show a 4.

    Rolling a 5 with either a 4 and a 1 or a 3 and a 2 is what’s known as an “easy way 5.”

You can place a Hard Way bet on numbers 4, 6, 8, and 10.

You need to roll the Hard Way numbers before rolling a 7 to win. You must also roll the Hard Way numbers before you roll the Easy Way numbers.

You’ll find the Hard Ways button at the bottom of the table. Select it and the chip amount will be added to the 4 Hard Way bet options automatically.

You can select a single Hard Way bet option if you only want to place 1 bet.

    For a Hard Ways 4 and 10, you’ll receive a payout at 8:1, and for a Hard Ways 6 and 8, you’ll receive a payout at 10:1.

    Working/Not Working

Bets in craps can be “Working” or “Not Working.”

If a bet is Working, it is always active.

If a bet is Not Working, it’s only working when the game is on.

Not Working bets are inactive when the game is off.

By default, Odds, Place to Win, Buy, and Hard Ways bets are Not Working. And Place to Lose and Lay bets are Working.

You can change these settings by heading to the Bet Options area.

Return to Player rates stay the same whether the bet is Working or Not Working.

    Roll history

You can see the last 12 outcomes of the dice by visiting the Roll History bar on the left-hand side of the table. This bar also lets you know whether the game is on or off at that moment.

See how often the numbers have appeared in the last 100 rolls – and the probability of rolling the numbers – by hitting the Stats button that’s also on the left-hand side of the table.

    Max Odds/Remove/Instant/Roll buttons

Find the Max Odds, Remove, Instant, and Roll buttons at the bottom of the table.

Increase your bet with the Max Odds button.

Roll the dice with the Roll button.

Roll the dice instantly to speed things up with the Instant button.

And remove chips from the table with the Remove button, provided they’re able to be removed.
